After the departure of head strength and conditioning coach Jared Hatz, the role of interim strength coach will be filled by Logan Reever. Coach Reever, a former Dutchman in his own right, graduated from Lebanon Valley College in May 2019 with a bachelor\u2019s degree in exercise science. During his time at LVC, Reever was a member of both the men\u2019s baseball and track and field teams. <\/p>\n

For the past two years, Reever has served as an intern under Coach Hatz, where he learned the ins and outs of the weight room. He cites his experience working with Hatz in helping create a smooth transition. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve grown up in his program as he\u2019s created it over the years,\u201d Reever said. \u201cI definitely think that makes the transition astronomically easier.\u201d <\/p>\n

During his upcoming tenure as interim strength coach, Reever hopes to put an emphasis on making sure his athletes stay healthy, to enable them to have the most successful seasons they can possibly have. Reever goes on to say that he is already seeing progress from his athletes in the weight room. Several students have reported new personal bests over the past week. On top of the strides he\u2019s seen in the gym, Reever has also helped several athletes establish a personal nutrition plan to follow to improve their diet and energy. <\/p>\n

Reever had some high praise for the work Coach Hatz has put in over the past four years at LVC. <\/p>\n

\u201cCoach Hatz has done a great job cultivating the culture of the weight room over the last four years,\u201d Reever said. \u201cI want to make sure that culture stays alive. I\u2019ve been a part of it, I love it. I want to keep it going.\u201d<\/p>\n

Coach Reever will work with all LVC sports teams, while the search for a permanent strength and conditioning coach continues.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
