The first-year athletes have helped the Dutchmen execute wins in which the team won by more than 10 goals. The upperclassmen are ecstatic by how the freshmen have been playing since the start of the season.

“The first-year students have had a huge impact already this season,” Jen Eck, a junior defenseman, said. “We have a lot of young talent which is very exciting. They have contributed to our team greatly.”
Last year the team did not play as well as they had hoped but they feel that this year will be different. They have brought a lot of intensity to games and practices; by playing physically and fighting for every loose ball.

“We are playing very fierce on the field,” Morgan Ernst, a first-year defenseman, said. “We are looking for the MAC Championship this year and it shows in how we have been playing.”

All of the Dutchmen’s MAC Conference games are coming up in the month of April.
