{"id":17356,"date":"2026-09-18T14:14:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-18T18:14:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/lavie\/?p=17356"},"modified":"2026-09-18T14:14:37","modified_gmt":"2026-09-18T18:14:37","slug":"into-the-woods-musical","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/lavie\/2026\/09\/18\/into-the-woods-musical\/","title":{"rendered":"Into the Woods musical"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"dslc-theme-content\"><div id=\"dslc-theme-content-inner\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Kelly Aydelotte '29, staff writer\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This fall, LVC students are stepping on stage in Into the Woods as storybook characters, where their fairy tales all come together and intertwine.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This musical follows many familiar storybook characters\u2019 lives through the woods, such as Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella and Jack. This story even introduces new ones such as the Baker, the Baker\u2019s wife and the Witch. This show is a fast-paced musical, as in one moment one thing goes right and the next goes wrong.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s so hard to put one of them as the lead,\u201d Eden Marcott, who plays Little Red Riding Hood, said.&nbsp; \u201cIt follows all the characters so much that everybody\u2019s kind of a lead in their own moment.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This show is very interesting and unique. Unlike other musicals, where there is usually a focus on a few characters, every character in the show has a really important role in the story, where one story connects to another. Marcott explains how enjoyable this show is to watch because of its fast pace.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou really feel as if you're going on an adventure with them. So, it's like, you're always like, what's going to happen next?\u201d Marcott said.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of Marcott\u2019s favorite parts about being involved in the musical is all the people she meets.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere's nobody like theater people. I love theater people,\u201d she said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She also described how incredible it is to see how the show has come together in just over a month and the rehearsal process.
