{"id":17354,"date":"2026-09-18T14:14:03","date_gmt":"2026-09-18T18:14:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/lavie\/?p=17354"},"modified":"2026-09-18T14:14:33","modified_gmt":"2026-09-18T18:14:33","slug":"megan-williams-valley-ambassador-to-assistant-director-of-admissions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/lavie\/2026\/09\/18\/megan-williams-valley-ambassador-to-assistant-director-of-admissions\/","title":{"rendered":"Megan Williams: Valley Ambassador to Assistant Director of Admissions\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"dslc-theme-content\"><div id=\"dslc-theme-content-inner\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Patrick Sanger '26, staff writer\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eight years after graduation, Megan Williams is back where it all began.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Megan Williams, a 2018 graduate of LVC, now wears the title of Assistant Director of Admissions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During her time at Lebanon Valley, she was part of the women's tennis team and worked as a Valley Ambassador in admissions. This role sparked her passion for higher education and led her to pursue a career in admissions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat started as a student leadership opportunity quickly became something I knew I wanted to build a career around,\u201d Williams said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These days, she is in charge of the Valley Ambassadors program, managing more than 70 student tour guides and planning large-scale admissions events. Each student\u2019s first visit to campus plays a meaningful part in their journey, and being able to see the same students walk across the stage at graduation is a \u201ctrue full-circle moment\u201d for Williams.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first campus visit is just a small part of the story. Over the course of an academic year, Williams, her team of admissions counselors and Valley Ambassadors work to coordinate a diverse lineup of events for families and their students that highlight the best of the Valley.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Discovery Days, LVC Lives, Days at the Valley and many more of these events pave the road to enrollment for each student.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy first visit was a Discovery Day Open House,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was my first college visit ever. I recall even then feeling so relaxed and welcomed from the admission staff and Valley Ambassadors. It set the bar extremely high for other colleges.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This experience was ultimately the reason she chose to attend LVC.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to herself, the admissions department also employs four other LVC alumni as counselors.
