From being a resident assistant and responder on call, to graduate school student to member of the golf team, Alexa Pridham does it all.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pridham is a fourth-year physical therapy student and an active member of LVC\u2019s golf team. Despite her ever-busy schedule, she maintains a strong level of commitment to all her activities and academic endeavors.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I started my time here at LVC only doing one activity,\u201d Pridham said. \u201cThen I started to expand my horizons as I got more confident managing my time.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the unique jobs Pridham does is she works as a responder on call, which is a newly reopened position to select senior resident assistants. This job entails added duties in addition to the already expected duties of all resident assistants.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have to manage all my roles at once,\u201d she said. \u201cI can\u2019t be the responder on call and also at practice, so I have to make sure that my schedule aligns properly.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pridham joined the golf team during her sophomore year and has valued the experiences and relationships she\u2019s built. While being an athlete may sound stressful, especially with such a full load already, Pridham finds it a therapeutic outlet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGolf is a great way for me to destress,\u201d she said. \u201cIt lets me do something I love while also hanging out with great people.”  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While she now has found a balance, she has hit roadblocks while being a student-athlete. Pridham does not shy away from acknowledging scarifies she\u2019s had to make to maintain her athletics and academics.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had to drop out of some clubs due to not having enough time in my schedule,\u201d she said. \u201cI also have had to learn how to balance my personal interests with my academic and work life.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite these challenges, Pridham encourages all students to pursue a sport on campus. While it may seem like too much of a time commitment, she argues that it has been one of the most rewarding experiences during her time here at LVC.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think everyone should make the most of their time here at LVC,\u201d she said. \u201cBut students should make sure not to spread themselves too thin in the process.\u201d  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
