<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Junior business administration and marketing student Megan Martin recently got the opportunity to intern at Hershey Entertainment and Resorts (HE&R).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Martin joined HE&R as a Human Resources intern this semester. She is currently assisting with the company’s leadership development internship program and managing upcoming hiring appointments.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Martin has found the environment welcoming from the start and has enjoyed getting to know her coworkers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy favorite part is the people,\u201d she said. \u201cIt’s been a lot of fun working with the other interns, and my boss is so approachable.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Martin will be assisting with Hershey’s Leadership Development Internship program, a 12-week program that offers a variety of experiences to students across all majors.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think I’m really going to enjoy the hiring appointments,\u201d Martin said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of professional development, she is also looking forward to learning more about the department.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI want to learn a lot more about human resources in general,\u201d she said. \u201cThere are so many different branches in it, including onboarding and employee support, so I’m excited to dive into both of those regions.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Martin is also looking forward to learning more about Milton Hershey School and the service opportunities available to employees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEveryone that I work with genuinely values it and is proud that Hershey does so much to support them,\u201d she said.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her advice to fellow students looking to apply \u2013 do it.  Martin said so far, it\u2019s been a perfect balance of getting handed specific directions to tasks and being thrown right into projects. She\u2019s grateful the company is close to campus to have this experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
