LVC sophomore golfer Reagan Flynn has a become a standout name in the Dutchmen golf program, earning MAC Golfer of the Week honors twice in just two semesters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But behind the success is a player driven by growth and competition while balancing a demanding collegiate schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t sign up for such activities if I knew I couldn\u2019t handle them,\u201d Flynn said. <\/em>\u201cI want to get the most out of my time at LVC. it\u2019s more than worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That commitment extends beyond the classroom. As a transfer student, Flynn arrived on campus and was struck with a contrast from his first stop in his collegiate career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe campus community is so tight-knit and genuine,\u201d Flynn said. \u201cThis extends to the golf team. We have a wonderful group of young men that all want the best for each other.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite earning MAC weekly honors, Flynn is far from satisfied. To him, awards represent certain moments, not final goals or endpoints. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGolfer of the Week means I played really well for that one week,\u201d said Flynn. \u201cIn reality, I want to be on top of my game for an entire season.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flynn serves as the oldest starter on what is one of the youngest teams in the conference, which he views as a strength. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no sense of superiority since we\u2019re all basically the same age,\u201d Flynn said. \u201cThis team is going to continue to grow together and build upon each other\u2019s success.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flynn has a history of winning. The moment he returns to most often is his high school district championship win, the last major event he captured.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat thrill of winning is something I yearn to feel again,\u201d Flynn said. \u201cThe drive to be the best and be recognized for it keeps me going.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flynn and the Dutchmen look to the spring semester to continue another competitive season.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
