LVC\u2019s student theatre organization, Wig and Buckle Theatre Company, will put on its annual fall musical \u201cAlice by Heart\u201d this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlice by Heart\u201d tells the story of Alice Spencer, a teenaged girl living through the London Blitz. The audience should expect familiar themes from classic fairytale, \u201cAlice\u2019s Adventures in Wonderland,\u201d written by Lewis Carroll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am so excited for the audience to see all the hard work that has gone into this production,\u201d Katherine Buerke, president of Wig and Buckle Theatre Company, said. \u201cIt is an emotionally taxing show, but I am continuously blown away by the caliber of talent and dedication that goes into each rehearsal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scarlet Laity, director of \u201cAlice by Heart,\u201d also shared her pride for the cast, production crew and creative team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy favorite part about being the director for [\u2018Alice by Heart\u2019] is watching the cast grow together and form a strong connection throughout this beautiful creation of a show,\u201d Laity said. \u201cTheir hard work and dedication made this show happen and I couldn\u2019t be happier.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlice by Heart\u201d is not only an opportunity to support the talented students involved with Wig and Buckle, but it is also an uplifting story that is sure to move audience members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat excites me the most about this show is how diverse it is,\u201d Laity said. \u201cIt\u2019s so fun, silly, and unhinged but at the same time real and heavy. There are truly real feelings and depth in this show that are perfectly portrayed by our wonderful actors and actresses. I want all the audience members to leave feeling like they walked in the shoes of the characters in this show.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
