The LVC women\u2019s tennis team is in the midst of its fall season and is off to a great start. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The season started in early September and will conclude in early October. Beginning its season, they played in two invitationals: the King’s College Invitational tournament and the Dutchmen Invitational tournament, hosted by LVC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dutchmen played their first match at Susquehanna University, dominating with a 7-0 sweep that left players and coaches feeling enthusiastic about the team\u2019s future success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sarah Kramer is LVC\u2019s volunteer assistant coach who graduated from LVC in the spring of 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After this win, Kramer is optimistic about the team’s future success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis win shows the strength and depth we have in our lineup,” Kramer said. \u201cThe girls have been putting in so much work over the past couple of months, which is going to pay off during the spring season.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katie Berra, a sophomore on the team who plays #5, contributed significantly to the team\u2019s win against Susquehanna with a 6-1 doubles win and 6-0, 6-0 singles win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Berra is eager to use the fall season to grow personally and lift teammates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI most look forward to improving my game and supporting my teammates in the remaining matches,\u201d Berra said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catherine Stone is a junior on the team, playing at #2. Along with Berra, she also contributed significantly to the team’s win against Susquehanna, earning a 6-1 doubles victory and a 6-0, 6-1 singles win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stone is eager to take on future competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am looking forward to play some challenging opponents to level up my game,\u201d Stone said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With four tennis matches left in the fall season, LVC women\u2019s tennis is looking forward to finishing the season strong while setting the tone for the spring season. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
