Jared Graeff once dreamed of the NBA \u2014 now he’s focused on leading his family\u2019s four-generation pest control business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graeff, a senior business and marketing major, originally wanted to be a basketball player then an engineer. His dream to be an engineer stuck all the way up until his senior year when he finally decided to start looking and applying to colleges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He started working during the summers at his family’s extermination business, Laudeman\u2019s Termite and Pest Control, starting in summer of 2022. The business is based out of Minersville, PA, where Graeff went to high school. The seemed to have planted a seed in Graeff\u2019s mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a small family business of only three workers, Graeff thoroughly enjoyed his summers at the family’s business. This inspired Jared to take up a business and marketing major here at Lebanon Valley College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laudeman Termite and Pest Control was started in 1975 by his great grandfather. It is now owned and operated by his grandfather, George R Laudeman, and his aunt, Jen Laudeman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJared reminds me of me when I was young, strong, stubborn, and a strong will to work.,\u201d George Laudeman, Graeff’s grandfather, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fast forward four years and Graeff is in his final year at LVC with his sights set on running the family business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe past four summers with the business have been awesome,\u201d Graeff said. He also said, \u201cBeing able to work with close family and friends is a blessing along with being able to work close to home.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When talking with Graeff about the future, he said he is excited to take the reins and run this business. He has hopes of expanding into new areas and has many goals and aspirations as he awaits graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This semester he is completing his business internship with the family business, while also taking classes on campus. Best of luck to Graeff on his future endeavors.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
