LVC baseball is starting to prepare for the 2025-2026 season. Team lifts, practices and weekly scrimmages are getting the team active and ready!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

College sports indulge in a different level of intensity and commitment. With this commitment, coaches strive for discipline academically and physically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The LVC baseball team is recovering from a loss of nearly ten seniors in the spring of 2025. While in the fall of 2025, they are gaining a drastic number of new faces and talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaven Schreier, a sophomore right-handed pitcher, for the LVC baseball team, makes his presence valuable to those around him while unfortunately unable to perform on the field physically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schreier suffered an unfortunate ankle injury, preventing him from finishing his first-year season with the Dutchmen. He bounced back as quickly as rehabilitation would allow. The summer was a great time for him to gain strength and focus on his accuracy as a right-handed pitcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the world often does, it has a fun way of ruining plans. Schreier is now currently enduring shoulder pain, which once again, is preventing him from playing with his fellow Dutchmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schreier remains optimistic in being a strong player in the upcoming spring and continues to support his teammates from the dugout and side of the bullpen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schreier has wise advice for first-year players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo your homework…. early. Also, take advantage of team lifts and practices. The coaches will help everyone in any way, just do not be scared to ask.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schreier supports his team and is beyond excited to be playing in the spring season, where his slider will have batters swinging and missing without a doubt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After coming off of a great spring season, with exceptional seniors graduating, the team is moving to adjust and to show the MAC division that the Dutchmen always win big.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
