They can provide hands-on experience, inform future career decisions and increase networking opportunities.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the costs associated with participating in an internship experience can be burdensome. The Breen Center for Career &amp; Professional Development alleviates these costs through grants.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Breen Center manages three internship funds that assist students paying for reasonable expenses incurred because of their internships,\u201d Natalia Smith, assistant director of the Breen Center, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students from most majors are eligible to apply for these grants and application cycles are continuous. Students can complete an eligibility assessment to determine if they qualify to apply for a grant.
