On the field he is a record holder, off the field he holds a higher standard in the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tim Ervey is a graduate student of the physical therapy program, along with being a five-year member of the football team and two-year captain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ervey has many accomplishments in his memorable years at LVC, but being part of the growing success of the team has meant the most to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe progress that the program has made since my freshman year to now, we were 3-7 and now we have our first winning record in 10 years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ervey has been a selfless, team-first leader ever since he enrolled at LVC. Holding the school record for most rushing yards in a game \u2013 271 yards \u2013 he just thinks of it as an accolade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBuilding the culture of Dutchmen football is probably the biggest accomplishment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with his impressive performance on the field, he has even better numbers in the classroom. Ervey was named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll for all five years, completing 21 credits in the spring of his sophomore year to graduate a year early and work towards his doctorate in physical therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He credits his professionalism and time management skills to the physical therapy program which has led to a dream job opportunity. Ervey\u2019s clinical is at True Sports, an athletics-based physical therapy clinic operating out of Champs Sports in Lebanon, PA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am trying to pursue a career in sports physical therapy,\u201d he said. \u201cThis is a great opportunity in my clinical rotation to learn how to treat athletes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ervey\u2019s time at LVC has gone too fast. His advice for incoming students is to enjoy it while it lasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThroughout high school I put a lot of pressure on myself both in the classroom and on the field,\u201d he said. \u201cIt goes by way too quick to not enjoy it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He will be missed by his teammates and peers but has left a lasting impression on both, with his leadership skills and knowledge of how to navigate the busy life of a Dutchman.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
