\u201cWriting: A Life,\u201d LVC\u2019s free reading series, will welcome poet Cynthia Arrieu-King as the spring semester\u2019s second visiting author.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arrieu-King has a variety of creative works published from poetry collections to creative nonfiction and short fiction pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her more recent works include \u201cFutureless Languages,\u201d published by Radiator Press in 2018, its companion \u201cContinuity,\u201d published by Octopus Books in 2021, and \u201cThe Betweens,\u201d a creative nonfiction memoir published by Noemi Press in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arrieu-King\u2019s creative works have appeared in “American Poetry Review,” “Crazyhorse,” “the tiny” and “TriQuarterly.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to her writing career, Arrieu-King is a professor of creative writing at Stockton University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWriting: A Life\u201d allows students of all majors and interests to come together to explore the versatility of literature. Additionally, attending students will be able to ask Arrieu-King questions about her work, writing process, publications and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The series provides a wealth of insight into the literary world while also encouraging students to engage with authors of various backgrounds and specializations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arrieu-King\u2019s reading will take place on Tuesday, April 2, at 7 p.m. in the Bishop Library Atrium.
