Following a long layoff for Thanksgiving break, the LVC men\u2019s ice hockey team is set to finally hit the ice at Hersheypark Arena while promoting a noble cause in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team will host its First Responders Night this Saturday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. as the Dutchmen take on the Knights of Nuemann University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be a pregame ceremony held to honor the likes of former ice hockey players, LVC staff and any and all community members in attendance who have formerly served or are currently serving as First Responders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking to bounce back from a razor close loss to Arcadia University, the team will host the First Responders Night on the second half of a back-to-back pair of games against Nuemann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior Blake Tosto looks to continue his scoring ways as he leads the team with 5 goals. He\u2019s doing this after leading the team last season with 16 points, a total that he\u2019s on pace to crush this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following Saturday\u2019s game, everyone in attendance is invited to stick around for a post-game skate!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, friends and family can stick around for the opportunity to bid on game-worn jerseys. Proceeds are then set to be distributed amongst the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a fantastic chance for LVC students and local community members to come together and show gratitude to those who respond to emergencies and risk their well-being each and every day.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
