LVC hosted its annual Instant Decision Day this past Tuesday, Nov. 6, and it was an exciting day for many students pursuing graduate school.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LVC\u2019s Instant Decision Day is a day where seniors and alumni are welcome to complete the stress-free process of being accepted into the graduate program of their choice in one day. Usually a daunting task, LVC makes the process easy for students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instant Decision Day brings together a diverse group of students, as all of the school\u2019s graduate programs were seen at the event. Within each program are 23 different certificates and masters\u2019 degrees for each student\u2019s interest ranging from the business and communications fields to the health professions field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students filled out an application on arrival and were asked to bring their current resum\u00e9. After completing those steps, the students were ready for an interview with a faculty member in the graduate program and accepted on the spot. Blair Shaffer, a senior biochemistry and molecular biology major, raved about his experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cInstant Decision Day was extremely useful,\u201d Shaffer said. \u201cApplying to graduate school is a stressful process, but LVC streamlines everything with the students\u2019 best interests in mind.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With plans to enter medical school in the future, Shaffer said this is another way of broadening his knowledge before taking the next big step. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI chose the master of science in applied kinesiology because it allows me to further my knowledge of the human body which will carry over as I pursue a career in orthopedic medicine,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shaffer is another great example of how successful the Instant Decision Day process is. Shaffer may have a long way to go in his education, but he is excited about what the future holds for him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
