{"id":10434,"date":"2023-10-02T19:12:59","date_gmt":"2023-10-02T19:12:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/wordpress\/lavie\/?p=10434"},"modified":"2023-10-02T19:12:59","modified_gmt":"2023-10-02T19:12:59","slug":"gamma-sigma-sigma-seeks-donations-for-annual-operation-christmas-child-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/lavie\/2023\/10\/02\/gamma-sigma-sigma-seeks-donations-for-annual-operation-christmas-child-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"Gamma Sigma Sigma seeks donations for annual Operation Christmas Child drive"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"dslc-theme-content\"><div id=\"dslc-theme-content-inner\">\n<p>By Jess Benninger \u201926, assistant editor&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Beta Chi chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma, LVC\u2019s national service sorority on campus, is accepting donations for its annual Operation Christmas Child drive until Oct. 21.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Operation Christmas Child is a project sponsored by Samaritan\u2019s Purse International Relief and works to provide underprivileged children across the globe with Christmas gifts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gamma Sigma Sigma is in need of the following items:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>School supplies\u00a0<\/li><li>Toys for children ages 2 to 14\u00a0<\/li><li>Personal care or hygiene products (no liquids; no glass containers)\u00a0<\/li><li>Shoeboxes\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All items must be able to fit inside a shoebox and can be dropped off in labeled bins in Bishop Library, Mund College Center, Miller Chapel and the Arnold Health Professions Pavilion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donations can also be purchased via Gamma Sigma Sigma\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/hz\/wishlist\/ls\/3C4O6FJ6SOUM6?ref_=wl_share\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amazon wish list<\/a>.
