After completing a rigorous first week, referred to as \u201cBoot Camp\u201d by students and professors, they have now received their white coats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn addition to our original classes for the semester, for the first week we undergo many training sessions that will prepare us for our practices as a student clinician,\u201d Riley Finnegan, a senior SLP major, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The white coat signifies these students transitioning from only learning within the classroom to taking their knowledge and applying it towards the variety of patients they will treat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we go into the rest of our semester as first-year graduate students, we are preparing to begin our first responsibilities as not only students, but clinicians working with individuals in the Lebanon community,\u201d Maddy Frank, a senior SLP major, said.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>(By Anna Lougee \u201924, staff writer) Lebanon Valley College held its fourth \u201cWhite Coat Ceremony\u201d on Thursday, Aug. 31.
