Lebanon Valley College’s women’s ice hockey team played Stevenson University Friday, Jan. 27, and Saturday, Jan. 28.

The Friday night game took place on home ice for LVC, the final score being 2-1.  Katrina Strauts, a first-year forward, scored the first goal for the Dutchmen during the second period of the game, tying the score.  Both teams fought hard during the last period, however, a goal by Cheyenne Wilk, a sophomore forward, with an assist from Ioanna Christou, a sophomore defender, sealed the deal for the Dutchmen.  Wilk has now scored three game-winning goals this season.  This win was a first against Stevenson for LVC.

LVC played Stevenson again on Saturday and took home another win against the opposing school.  LVC scored first with a shot by Jade Julius, a senior forward, in the final minute of the first period.  The score remained 1-0 through the second period.  Both teams amped up in the last period, ending the game tied 2-2.  Grace Mayer, a junior defender, scored the additional point; her first goal of the season.  A shootout occurred with both teams missing their first three attempts, but on the fourth for LVC, Brenna Mulcany, a sophomore forward, scored, bringing the Dutchmen a victory.
