Volleyball takes on the MACC tournament

With a very solid 16-9 season in tow, LVC volleyball set its sights on the MAC Commonwealth Championships.

Unfortunately, a tough opponent in the form of Messiah College (19-9) was there to meet them.

The first set was dominated by Messiah, with them winning by a score of 25-18.

They came out strong in the next set as well. While LVC put up a tough battle to make it closer, Messiah inevitably pulled away and won the second set with a score of 25-20.

With their back against the wall and season on the line, LVC entered the final set firing, and gave their best effort of the day.

Unfortunately, they fell just short and lost by a score of 25-23, subsequently ending their 2022 season.

Game leaders included Taylor McInerney, who totaled 12 kills and a block, and Margaret Cole, who totaled 7 kills, 1 ace and a block. They will both look forward to continuing their strong seasons next year.

While the tournament outcome may not have been the one they desired, LVC put up a great fight all year and will look to do the same in the coming seasons.
