Students may qualify for emergency relief funding through CARES Act

The CARES Act allows college students at LVC to possibly receive emergency relief funds due to COVID-19.

Phase 2 is now open for students who were not eligible for Phase 1, which occurred during the spring semester. If a student was approved for emergency funding relief in the spring, they are not eligible to receive funding in the fall as well.

There is a list of other qualifications a student must meet in order to receive funding.

Kendra Feigert, the Director of Financial Aid, stated that students “must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program, must be eligible for federal student aid, must be meeting satisfactory academic progress for financial aid, and must certify additional expenses due to the disruption of campus operations.”

An FAQ about the CARES Act can be found on LVC’s website. The deadline to apply is Nov. 16.
