LVC women’s cross country team competed in the Mid-Atlantic Conference Championships (MACs) at Stevenson University in Maryland on Saturday, Oct. 27.

The team went into the race unranked regionally and finished ahead of two of the regionally ranked teams in the conference. Five of the runners earned all-conference honors, and it was the first time in program history that three of five all-conference runners finished in the top 10.

Colleen Quigley, a 2016 Olympic Steeplechaser, sent the team a good luck video message prior to their race. This video can be found on the Lebanon Valley College XC and Track & Field Facebook page.

“It was awesome having someone as talented as her wishing us luck and saying that she believed in us,” Mackenzie Lausch, a senior cross country runner, said. “It definitely was a great motivator for the team heading into MACs.”

As a whole, the women’s team placed second out of 17 teams. The team’s final race will be the Mideast Regionals at DeSales University on Nov. 10 with its top 7 runners competing.
