The volleyball team will advance to the MAC Commonwealth Tournament, thanks to a stellar performance on Thursday, Oct. 25.

The Dutchmen defeated Messiah College 3-0 (25-14, 25-12 and 25-16) and improved to 17- 11 on the season and 6-2 in the MAC. Senior Jess Attieh led the team in kills with 15, followed by sophomore Jayna Class with 11. Sophomore Jensen Burnheimer recorded 31 assists, leading both teams, and freshman Reily Shelly led LVC with 10 digs.

The Dutchmen will now enter the MAC Commonwealth Tournament as the No. 3 seed, knocking the Falcons of Messiah College to the No. 4 seed. The team will travel to Arcadia University on Wednesday, Oct. 31, to battle the No. 2 Knights at 7:30 p.m.
